The new National Plan for Music Education (NPME) recommends that every school create a Music Development Plan. These plans should outline how high-quality music education will be provided for all students in both curriculum and co-curricular activities.
Additionally, schools are asked to address staffing, funding, staff development, and monitoring of their music programs in these plans. Lastly, the plan should outline a music progression strategy to support students in pursuing music beyond the core curriculum.
